Cheung Krus Baray

Cheung Krus Baray is a man-made water reservoir built by forced labor during the Pol Pot regime between 1975 and 1979. Despite its dark history, the Baray is now treasured as a water source for the rice fields and villagers, a place to relax and a site of natural beauty filled with plentiful water lilies, other plant life, fish and birds.

The Lake is big, and quite difficult to see the other side in any detail. The surrounding Landscape is absolutely. Stunning.
